This 3-hour workshop, intended for the intermediate student, will show you how to deal with complex textures and surfaces.
Topics covered include:
1. Atmospheric perspective
2. Strategies for reflective, transparent or textured objects
3. How to render textures found in nature (grass, leaves, bark, water, etc)
4. How to pull it all together (drawing multiple objects in a complex composition)
5. How old masters like Rembrandt, Durer and Jacob De Gheyn handed texture.
The workshop will feature charts, helpful diagrams, old master exampls, and in the last hour, a full length still-life drawing demonstration.
